What We Do

App Profits is an independent publication focused on one topic: how ordinary people — not Silicon Valley engineers — build, publish, and earn from simple mobile applications.

The mobile app economy is worth hundreds of billions of dollars a year. Most of that coverage focuses on venture-backed startups and enterprise software. We focus on the other end: individuals and small teams publishing practical, straightforward apps and earning real income from them.

Who We Write For

Our readers are everyday people exploring whether app publishing could be a realistic income stream. They're not developers. They don't have a computer science degree. They want clear, honest information — not hype, not a sales pitch, and not advice that only works if you already have a technical background.

Our Editorial Standards

Every piece we publish follows the same rules:

• Research-backed. We cite real data, real case studies, and real tools — not hypothetical scenarios.
• Plain language. If a concept needs jargon, we define it on the spot. Our target reading level is 8th grade.
• No pay-to-play. We don't accept payment to rank, recommend, or review any tool, course, or platform.
